Team delivering on our purpose in the 49th state

Our employees in Anchorage have over 115 years of experience with GSK – twice as many years as Alaska has been a state!

Alaska, a state since 1959, is the largest state in the US with a total area of 663k square miles, more than twice the size of Texas. Yet, thanks to our small, but mighty, team of employees living and working in Anchorage and suburban Eagle River, we’re able to support our Alaskan customers who rely on our vaccines and respiratory medicines.

Beth, Eric, Laura, Sue, and Stephanie represent GSK in the 49th state of Alaska and provide critical support to customers from Barrow to Ketchikan (largely made up of federal business (Air Force, Army, VA, Indian Health Service) as well as independent and health systems customers and patients.

We know our Alaskan team are incredibly proud of their beautiful state and passionate about the patients who live here. They often comment that they have the most beautiful geography in the US – not sure anyone would argue with them.

From Anchorage to Nome, we find inspiration in a near century-old vaccines tradition

In March, our vaccines regional sales manager, Dan Lien, and colleagues, Beth Helgeson and Eric Egeland, take part in the start of the Iditarod Sled Dog race (The Mercy Run) that begins in Anchorage and ends in Nome.
